As I'm sure most of you have heard by now, our glorious leader Ambush Kitty has decided to end her subscription to FFXIV, which expires on the 6th of November. Because of this, leadership of the Free Company has fallen to me…
I don't know how well I'll do, but I'll atleast try not to become a big evil bad guy like Fairy Tail's second guild master (sorry … spoilers :p ).
However, with the change in leadership will also come some changes for the Company. The most noticeable changes will be to the raid groups and to our recruitment policy.
Raid Group Changes
Our previous raid group structure was starting to become a little chaotic - so it's being altered. The current raid group 2 (led by Kitty/Banker/Ronin) is being disbanded. The three teams which make up group 1 will be rebranded as EU Raid Groups 1, 2 and 3 which will all be overseen by Shanida Hyades. The current group 3 will be rebranded NA Raid Group 1 and will remain under Zyltis' control.
This does not mean you cannot setup you own additional groups - in fact, we encourage it (it means less work for us)! However, there are some guidelines you should try to follow. These are fairly common sense, but you'd be surprised how many people get them wrong:
1. Raid with the people you enjoy playing together with. 2. When in raids - turn off DPS meters. 3. Keep the group line-up the same as far as possible. 4. Arrange raid days based on when everyone in the group is available. Do not decide on a day if you have not checked it with everyone first. 5. Outside of raids (i.e. in dungeons) keep playing together with people from your raid group. The more you play with each other the better your teamwork will become and the more success you'll have when raiding.
If you stick to these guidelines and become a consistent group - we'll make it into another official raid group.
Recruitment Changes
Rogue <PRADA> is one of the biggest FCs on the server. If we become much larger we'll become increasingly unmanageable.
Because of this, we are going to stop actively recruiting new members.
This does not mean we're closed to new members, just that we won't be advertising anymore. Friends of members, people who seek us out and any random people you PUG with (who are good) are all still welcome.
Finally, I have just one thing to add. In addition to being one of the biggest FCs, I truly believe we're also one of the best. Let's keep it that way.
